SYSU Young Scholars Forum - Vancouver 2019
2019年2月18日新鲜出炉的《粤港澳大湾区发展规划纲要》指出，到2035年，粤港澳大湾区将形成以创新为主要支撑的经济体系和发展模式，巩固提升香港国际金融、航运、贸易中心地位，充分发挥广州国家中心城市和综合性门户城市的引领作用，努力使深圳成为具世界影响力的创新创意之都。
Chinese authorities unveiled the “Outline Development Plan for the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area” on February 18, 2019. The plan pointed out that the Greater Bay Area should become an economic system and a mode of development mainly supported by innovation by 2035. Hong Kong’s international finance, shipping, trade center status will be consolidated and enhanced. The leading role of Guangzhou national center city and comprehensive portal city will be given full play. And Shenzhen will be strived to be an innovative and creative capital with world influence.
同时，推进“广州-深圳-香港-澳门”科技创新走廊建设，支持珠海、佛山、惠州、东莞、中山、江门、肇庆等城市充分发挥自身优势，深化改革创新，形成特色鲜明、功能互补、具有竞争力的重要节点城市，共同提升世界级城市群的发展质量。
At the same time, the Plan will promote the construction of the Greater Bay Area science and technology innovation corridor. It will support 7 cities— Zhuhai, Foshan, Huizhou, Dongguan, Zhongshan, Jiangmen and Zhaoqing to make full use of their advantages and promote reform and innovation. Thus, these cities will become important node cities with distinctive features, complementary functions and competitiveness, and jointly enhance the development quality of world-class city cluster.
中山大学现由三个校区、五个校园组成，三个校区分别坐落在粤港澳大湾区的核心城市广州市、珠海市和深圳市，为粤港澳大湾区人才输送储备了丰富资源，同时中山大学将获得更多发展机遇和办学资源，为学科建设与人才培养提供新的契机。
Sun Yat-sen University is now constituted by five campuses in the three cities of Guangzhou, Zhuhai and Shenzhen, which are the core cities of the Greater Bay Area. We will strive to contribute to the development of the Great Bay Area into an education and talent hub. In addition, the plan gives us more development opportunities and school resources, providing new opportunities for discipline construction and talent training.
为了推动粤港澳大湾区的发展，加强国际文化交流与合作，增强学校的全球影响力，2019年中山大学海外青年学者论坛（加拿大站）将于今年4月28日在加拿大温哥华地区隆重举行！
In order to promote the development of the Greater Bay Area, strengthen international cultural exchanges and cooperation, and enhance the school’s global influence, we will hold the 2019 Young Scholars Forum of SYSU in Vancouver, Canada on April 28 this year.

Welcome overseas outstanding young talents, who study and work in Canada，have obtained doctoral degrees in various disciplines and plan to join Sun Yat-sen University in teaching and research to register for the conference!

For those scholars who are formally invited to attend the forum, we will provide allowances according to their transportation and accommodation conditions.
