undertake research to develop and utilise a novel set of analytic and bioinformatic tools;
participate in the identification of further opportunities arising from research and initiate new lines of research;
assist in the planning and preparation of research proposals and carry out investigations;
cooperate with others to build an effective research team;
present results in a meaningful format and write scientific papers for publication.

To be considered you will have a PhD, or will shortly satisfy requirements for a PhD, in a relevant field.
You will also have:
research experience in community or spatial ecology, phylogenetic diversity, or biodiversity informatics;
the ability to develop and pursue novel research approaches;
strong communication skills, including the ability to publish in scientific journals and present at conferences;
the ability to cooperate and collaborate with others to achieve objectives;
the ability to work independently under minimal supervision and meet performance deadlines.
Owing to terms of the fellowship, candidates must not have more than 4 years of relevant Postdoctoral experience.
