Successful candidates will have a degree in Computer science / Life sciences with a strong Bioinformatics background and a proven research track-record:
- Ph.D for Postdoctoral Researcher
- Master’s degree for Research Associate
・ Necessary skill sets are required for the research position as mentioned below:
1. Programming skills in Python, PHP / Perl with minimum 2-3 years of relevant experience in constructing and maintaining Biological databases in web frameworks such as ZOPE, Django, Symfony etc.
2. Hands on experience in annotating various biological data such as mutation, pathway, expression, OMICS studies from Scientific literature and experiments
3. Experience in R programming and BioConductor packages to analyze high throughput data is essential
4. Must be familiar with ontologies and semantic web databases and applications (Technology experience such as SPARQL, D2RQ, Jena, Squirrel and other RDF systems is required)
5. Prior knowledge about implementation of computational algorithms using bio-statistical methods is preferred
6. Pathway / Network analysis using proprietary and open software tools. Experience in disease specific pathway modeling is preferred
7. Knowledge in structural bioinformatics and associated tools such as GROMACS is optional
8. Must be a self-starter with a good communication skill. Highly motivated and creative candidates with a strong record of publication are encouraged to apply.
