Job Description
Postdoctoral fellow positions are available for researchers interested in developing new technologies and assays for molecular detection of diseases. The fellows will be joining an interdisciplinary research team situated in Whitaker Biomedical Engineering Institute, Institute of NanoBioTechnology and Sidney Kimmel Comprehensive Cancer Center at the Johns Hopkins University. Candidates should have hands-on experiences in one or more of the following areas:
1. Synthesis and surface functionalization of nanomaterials such as DNA origami, quantum dots and magnetic nanoparticles
2. Molecular assay technologies (e.g. nucleic acid extraction, amplification, ligation, DNA cloning, fluorescent labeling)
3. Digital droplet microfluidic systems
4. Optical spectroscopy and instrument development
