The Stem Cell & Neurotherapies Groupis seeking to appoint a postdoctoral scientist with experience in neurodegenerative disease models or bone marrow transplantation. You will be expected to run your own research project and contribute to the expertise of the group in developing novel translational therapies for lysosomal storage diseases.

The available project will involve investigation of therapies to improve bone marrow transplant outcome in a mouse model of Mucopolysaccharidosis type I.  The position will provide an opportunity to work in an independent research programme with an established international reputation in stem cell and gene therapies. You will work closely with other members of the Stem Cell & Neurotherapies Laboratory and should be capable of independent research work.

You will have a PhD in a relevant discipline or equivalent (e.g. Neuroscience, Transplant Immunology, Biochemistry) and ideally relevant postdoctoral experience.

Experience in working with models of neurodegeneration or performing mouse bone marrow transplantation would be advantageous.
