丹麦南方大学医药化学博士后岗位


A postdoctoral position in medicinal chemistry and organic synthesis is available from January 2012 or as soon as possible thereafter at the Department of Physics, Chemistry and Pharmacy, University of Southern Denmark. The position is for one year with possibility of extension up to in total three years.

The position is associated to the FFARMED project (www.sdu.dk/en/Om_SDU/Institutter_centre/C_Ffarmed), which aims to identify food constituents acting on free fatty acid receptors and study how these may exert beneficial or detrimental effects on the development of type 2 diabetes (T2D) and other metabolic diseases. The position will to a large degree focus on design and synthesis of selective modulators of the individual receptors. Candidates with solid background in organic synthesis and the relevant areas of medicinal chemistry will be preferred.

The successful candidate should have a Ph.D. in organic or medicinal chemistry or a closely related field, thorough documented experience within organic synthesis, excellent communication skills and be highly motivated and. An interest for molecular biology is an advantage. Some experience with molecular modeling would also be an advantage, but not a requirement.
