Applications are invited for a postdoctoral candidate to join a multidisciplinary team under the supervision of Professor Michael Petraglia on a project funded by the European Research Council investigating past environmental change and demographic history in the Arabian Peninsula. The Postdoctoral Research Assistant will provide essential and specialist experience in rock art studies. The overall objective is to understand the demographic history of human populations in the Arabian peninsula and to understand how they adapted to fluctuating environments over time. The candidate will possess an excellent academic track record along with a degree in a relevant area as well as having completed a PhD in a relevant discipline. They must be self-motivated, have excellent organisational skills, demonstrate a willingness to share results with other team members and co-author research findings, and have previous experience of rock art field work.
