The Duke Human Vaccine Institute, under the direction of Dr. Barton Haynes, is a place of national and international leadership in the fight against major infectious diseases. The DHVI is currently recruiting for a Postdoctoral Position in Molecular Bacteriology and Immunology.
We are seeking a highly motivated recent graduate to join our project to develop practical novel vector-based vaccines for HIV-1. The project involves the design, optimization, and evaluation of novel recombinant mycobacteria vectors (rMycobacteria) that elicit durable systemic and mucosal immune responses that are not suppressed by pre-existing anti-vector immunity.
Qualified candidates with a Ph.D. and/or M.D. and experience with Immunology assays/methods (in particular, Humoral immune response), Microbiology, Genetics and/or Molecular Biology techniques are encouraged to apply.
