A Postdoctoral Fellow position is available in the laboratory of Hoonkyo Suh, PhD, Department of Stem Cell and Regenerative Medicine at the Cleveland Clinic Lerner Research Institute.

Our lab aims to 1) understand molecular and cellular mechanisms underlying adult hippocampal neurogenesis and 2) determine a role of neural stem cells in neural circuit formation in normal and pathological brains. By employing a rabies virus-mediated retrograde tracing system, we are currently focusing on mapping of brain circuits formed by newly generated neurons in the adult hippocampus.

Our lab is seeking highly motivated, independent, and creative individuals with a Ph.D. and/or M.D. degree with have laboratory expertise in neuroscience, genetics or related fields. Extensive experience in animal experiments is highly recommended. Candidates are expected to lead a project, contribute to establish a collaborative research environment, and possess excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
