A post-doctoral fellowship or research associate position is available in the area of biological chemistry with a strong emphasis on carbohydrates and enzymology with an application towards infectious disease.

Qualified applicants will have obtained a Ph.D. and have expertise and technical proficiency, as demonstrated by peer-reviewed publications, in any of the following areas: synthetic organic chemistry; enzymology; protein biochemistry; natural products isolation; or microbial metabolite engineering.

The successful applicant will be a self-starter, able to learn and implement new research techniques, demonstrate good teamwork and communication skills and work in a multidisciplinary research environment. They will be expected to take a leadership role and contribute towards undergraduate and graduate student training. The position is funded through NSERC and CIHR operating grants and is available immediately.
