We seek candidates to apply for a technology transfer and applied research position at CELLTEC UB, in the competitive call TECNIOSPRING.
CELLTEC UB (http://www.ub.edu/celltec-ub/), is a research and technology transfer group of the Cell Biology Department of the University of Barcelona. CELLTEC UB has a broad experience in the evaluation of safety and efficacy of bioactive molecules for biotechnology, pharmaceutical, nutraceutical and cosmetic companies. We use in vitro cellular and molecular approaches for the screening of biological activities, as well as for the determination of the mechanisms of action of the molecules, mainly focused on human health and wellness.
Description
Candidates should have a doctorate plus five years of postdoctoral experience (or alternatively nine years in research), plus at least one year in applied research or technology transfer. Experience in team management or working in private companies will be positively valuated. This call is open to all nationalities (included Spanish) but it is mandatory that candidates should not have worked or resided in Spain for more than 12 months in the 2 years immediately prior to the deadline for the submission of applications (expected at the end of April 2013).
Skills and experience: candidates should have experience in at least two or more of the following topics: mammalian cell culture, in vitro models for safety and bioactivity evaluation of compounds, biomaterials evaluation, cell & tissue engineering.
The successful applicant will have a 2 years contract with a gross annual salary of 41.470
