Alternative NHEJ Mechanisms and Immune Therapy Development in Multiple Myeloma |
↑ |
Two NIH funded postdoctoral fellow positions immediately available at Cleveland Clinic Lerner Research Institute Cancer Biology Department to develop novel treatment and treatment prediction markers in multiple myeloma.
Our laboratory focuses on the critical chromosomal translocations that drive multiple myeloma development, precision medicine, and immune therapy development. Via mechanistic dissection of B cell Class Switch Recombination (CSR) especially the error pronealternative NHEJpathway and/or somatic hyper mutation (SHM) pathway regulated by AICDA, we aim to develop novel therapeutic targets and immune treatment approaches and to identify biomarkers of response to targeted therapy. All projects involve conditional transgenic and xenograft mouse models of multiple myeloma and clinical validation of laboratory findings patient’s samples from multiple myeloma tissue bank and ongoing clinical trials.
The position will provide a unique and multidisciplinary exposure to preclinical mouse models, molecular oncology, immune therapy, drug development and clinical trials. Further details are available at: https://www.lerner.ccf.org/cancerbio/zhao/
The ideal candidate has a M.D. or Ph.D. degree in clinical medicine, biochemistry or molecular biology; has the appropriate expertise in mouse model is highly encouraged to apply. Outstanding verbal and communication skills are required. Interested applicants should submit a CV and contact information for 3 references to Dr. Jianjun Zhao via email: zhaoj4@ccf.org. |
